Antechamber is made and operated by Citadel of the Mind Software LLC, a limited liability company registered in California, United States. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean that company, and "you" means the person using the app.
By installing or using Antechamber you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, uninstall the app.
You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you may use Antechamber only with the permission of a parent or guardian, and only they may buy premium access.
Antechamber is for entertainment. Nothing it says is advice — not medical, legal, financial or psychological — and nothing in it predicts what will happen to you. Do not use a reading to decide anything you would otherwise take to a doctor, a lawyer or someone qualified to help.

Premium access buys every guided reading after those three. That is the whole of the difference.
Premium access is sold and processed by Google Play, not by us. The price, the billing period and any free trial are shown in the app before you buy, and Google shows them again at the point of purchase. The plans are:
The yearly trial requires a payment method up front and becomes a paid year unless you cancel before it ends. We would rather say that plainly here than have you discover it. Monthly and lifetime are charged straight away and have no trial.
A recurring plan renews automatically until you cancel it. Google charges the payment method on your Play account at the start of each period. To stop it, cancel in Google Play — cancel at least 24 hours before the next renewal date, or that renewal will be taken. Cancelling stops future charges; it does not refund the period you are in, and you keep premium access until that period ends.
Because there is no account, premium access belongs to the Google Play account that bought it, and it follows that account to a new Android phone. It does not transfer to a different Play account, and a purchase made on Android does not carry to an Apple device.
Because Google Play takes the payment, refunds are handled by Google under Google Play's refund policy, and we are not able to issue one directly. If something has gone wrong, write to us anyway — we would rather know, and we can sometimes help with Google on your behalf.
Nothing here removes any refund or cancellation right you have under the law where you live.
Antechamber is offered for entertainment, reflection and contemplation. It is not fortune telling and it does not foretell events. A reading describes a theme, a quality or a question worth sitting with. It makes no claim to knowledge of your future and no claim to be scientifically established.
Do not use anything Antechamber tells you to make a medical, financial, legal, professional or relationship decision. It is not advice of any kind, from anyone qualified to give it.
It is not therapy, not treatment and not a substitute for professional care. If you are dealing with a medical or mental health condition, or you are in distress, please speak to a doctor or a qualified professional. If you are in crisis, contact your local emergency services.
Some readings begin with guided breathing. If you feel lightheaded, dizzy, faint or uncomfortable at any point, stop and let your breath return to normal. You can skip the breathing on any reading, or switch it off for good in Settings. Do not use Antechamber while driving, cycling, operating machinery, or doing anything else that needs your attention — it is several minutes of audio in near-darkness and it is designed to hold your attention.
The card images are scans of a deck first published in 1909, drawn by Pamela Colman Smith. That artwork is in the public domain, and we use the original plates rather than a modern restoration.
The card art is not generated by artificial intelligence, and it never will be. We are saying so because it matters to the people this app is for. It is a photograph of a drawing made by a named artist more than a century ago.
We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any company that publishes a modern tarot deck, and we make no claim to any trademark belonging to one. What we use is the historical artwork, which belongs to everybody.
The written meanings are our own, written for this app. They draw on public-domain sources on tarot, chiefly A. E. Waite's The Pictorial Key to the Tarot of 1911.
The voice that speaks the readings is a synthetic voice, generated by an AI model from recordings of a real person — the person who makes Antechamber — who recorded them for that purpose and consented to their use. It is his voice, reproduced so that a library this size can exist at all.
Every word it speaks was written by a person and recorded before you installed the app. Nothing is generated while you use Antechamber, and nothing about your reading is sent anywhere to produce it. There is no artificial intelligence running in the app.
The ambient sound beds are AI-generated and licensed for this use. Some decorative engravings in the interface are AI-generated. The cards are not — see section 7.
A reading you have been given is yours. Keep it, screenshot it, share the image, write it down, read it to somebody. We put a sharing feature in the app because we expect you to.
Premium access gives you a personal, non-transferable licence to use Antechamber for your own private use, on devices you control. You may not:
Everything in Antechamber that is ours — the recordings, the voice, the written meanings, the interface, the name and the software — remains ours. Nothing here transfers ownership of any of it to you. The 1909 card artwork is public domain and we claim no ownership of it.
We try to keep Antechamber working, but we do not promise it will be available without interruption. Buying premium access requires a working connection and depends on Google Play, which we do not control.
We may change, suspend or discontinue Antechamber. If we discontinue it entirely, we will say so in advance where we reasonably can.
Antechamber is provided as is. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties about it and we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of it. Where we are liable, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for Antechamber in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Some places do not allow certain exclusions, in which case they do not apply to you.
You can stop using Antechamber at any time by uninstalling it, and cancel any recurring plan in Google Play. Uninstalling deletes your kept readings from your phone, and we hold no copy to restore, so save anything you want to keep first.
We may end your access if you break these terms in a way that harms us or other people — in practice, redistributing the recordings.
We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and where a change matters we will say so in the app rather than relying on you to re-read this page. Continuing to use Antechamber after a change means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, and the courts of California will have jurisdiction. If you live somewhere with consumer protection laws that give you rights you cannot sign away, you keep those rights and you may bring a claim in your own local courts.
